So Who do you trust? No doubt, there are several who are going to be offended at the name of Jesus. But what does the Bible say about His characteristics and concerning the establishment of the earth. Who is Jesus Truly? Who's God? While growing up we are trained differently concerning God and folks will believe one idea today, and an alternative tomorrow. One thing to consider is, you can find shelter in trusting the Word of God. I have known many who walked away from the Faith since they criticize God for the loss of a family member. It is always difficult losing someone you like, but to hand over ones faith, calls to question if you ever had a real connection with God in the first place. Look at Job for instance. If somebody had a right to be heated at the The king of kings it would be him. He lost his household, his horses, and all he owned, home, he had a curse cast on him. His reaction was not to draw back from God He Drew nearer to his God, he praised and prayed to God. God later enriched Job  by multiplying all Job had lost because Job refused to lose heart but was persistent being devoted  through the pain.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. So we know God is the creator, nevertheless how does Jesus fit into the foundation of the earth and who was He? The Prophet Isaiah had impressive things to say about Jesus more than a few hundred years ahead of his birth. In Isaiah 9:6 it reads, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Is the passage suggesting Jesus is God when it says “Mighty God”? I think so. Am I approaching this from the wrong view? Lets look at another book from the bible. Jesus can also be referred to as “the Word” The term “Word” is capitalized and also verses describe the “Word”  and tell you who he is. John 1:1-5 says, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things have been made because of him and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the flame of men.” In verse 14 it says, “And the Word became flesh and lived among'st us, and we witnessed his glory, the glory as of One and Only begotten from the Father, filled with grace and truth.” The writing is clear that Jesus is the Word and that He's God. But lets look at another chapter, Colossians 1:15-17. In verse 15 it affirms He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God (The Father). Verse 16 says He formed all things in heaven and on earth, observable and concealed, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All thing were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things consist.”

Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting. He has been in existence from before time was created. Many people think  He only transpired when he was born in the manger. But he traveled from heaven and arrived to earth for a mission to redeem mankind from their sins.

Many hundreds of years before Jesus came in the form of a baby, He appeared in a different Bible narrative in Daniel 3,  Three Hebrew men had been sentenced to die in a fiery oven, for the reason that they refused to bow down to a fake god, Ruler Nebuchadnezzar attentively watched when the men ended up being bound and cast into the furnace. The story says the King was astonished and asked stating, "did we not cast 3 men bound into the center of the fire? Why do I observe 4 men loose in the midst of the fire furthermore an individual looking like the Son from the living God.” All through Bible history, Jesus continues to be visible to us. It’s just a mater of folks analyzing the word of God.

Let’s Examine a statement Jesus Gave in John 10: 9-10 so we can better understand him! “Most surely, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. Every single one who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, however the sheep did not hear them. I'm the gate. If someone enters by Me, he shall be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief doesn't come excepting to steal, and to kill also to destroy. I've come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

I remember when I was a teen living in Connecticut and my older Sister sold Avon products, I always enjoyed going through the catalogs even though there was not enough money for me get the product I desired. When the customer's delivery arrived at my house, I would stick my nose in the packages to see what items had come. One of  the most popular foods for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas is the Pumpkin.  You can learn to make great Pumpkin recipes. And we will explore that below. Another idea is to have your kids decorate them for inside or outside of your home and that really brings in the holliday spirit. Did you know Pumpkins are a actually a fruit and not a vegetable?  Pumpkins can range from up to 1000 pounds and is similar to a squash.  The pumpkin originates from The Cucurbitacea family and include other fruits such as gourds, melons, squash, cucumbers, and watermelon.

Pumpkin Pie - Fresh Or Canned Recipes.

Nutritional benefits of the pumpkin, is it's low in saturated fats, cholesterol, and sodium.  Alpha, Lutein and Beta Carotene are it main nutrients. They are a great source of Vitamin A, B, C, E, B6, potasium, iron, magnesium and Pantothenic acid. It has numerous health benefits and an excellent source of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.

Pumpkin Pie - Fresh Or Canned Recipes.

Pumpkin recipes are numerous and can be made from fresh or canned pumpkin. Some wonderful recipes can include the pulp and roast the seeds as a snack or on salads.  It's usually in fall and early winter when fresh pumpkins are in season. All sorts of recipes can be made for pies, breads, soups, muffins, pancakes, pudding, smoothies -The list is endless! My absolute favorite is the Pumpkin Pie, My family can't have enough of those during the holidays including Christmas! Just look at that picture.

The Dough:

1  1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons vegetable shortening

4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

2 tablespoons beaten egg (about 1/2 large egg)

The Filling:

2 cups of fresh puree or/ one- 15-ounce can pure pumpkin

3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar

3 large eggs

1 cup half-and-half

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Whipped cream, for serving or your favorite vanilla ice cream.

Pumpkin Pie - Fresh Or Canned Recipes.

The best way to cook it is to bake it when using fresh pumpkin. You cut the Pumpkin into quarters or halves depending on the size and scoop out the seeds. Fill the roasting pan with half a cup of water and add the pumpkin pieces. Bake or roast at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.(for pumpkin of medium size) be certain its really tender. Once it's cool enough to handle, extract the pulp with a spoon and put it in a blender or food processor to make sure all the stringy bits are gone. This will give you 2 cups of puree, season, and use it to make your favorite dishes.
