Avon Representatives.

Avon Representatives of all Strips.

I remember when I was a teen living in Connecticut and my older Sister sold Avon products, I always enjoyed going through the catalogs even though there was not enough money for me get the product I desired. When the customer's delivery arrived at my house, I would stick my nose in the packages to see what items had come. There was a time I was on a boy scout retreat, trying to get my wilderness patch and there were lots of bugs out side feeding on our flesh. I don't remember the product I used, but it was a cream I applied to my face to protect my skin from the elements of the outdoors. The next morning we all survived, however I was the only one whom had not been eaten by insect throughout the night. So I guess you could say I appreciate the products Avon sells.

Another idea is to have your kids decorate them for inside or outside of your home and that really brings in the holliday spirit. Did you know Pumpkins are a actually a fruit and not a vegetable?  Pumpkins can range from up to 1000 pounds and is similar to a squash.  The pumpkin originates from The Cucurbitacea family and include other fruits such as gourds, melons, squash, cucumbers, and watermelon.

Pumpkin recipes are numerous and can be made from fresh or canned pumpkin. Some wonderful recipes can include the pulp and roast the seeds as a snack or on salads.  It's usually in fall and early winter when fresh pumpkins are in season. All sorts of recipes can be made for pies, breads, soups, muffins, pancakes, pudding, smoothies -The list is endless! My absolute favorite is the Pumpkin Pie, My family can't have enough of those during the holidays including Christmas! Just look at that picture.

The Dough:

1  1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons vegetable shortening

4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

2 tablespoons beaten egg (about 1/2 large egg)

The Filling:

2 cups of fresh puree or/ one- 15-ounce can pure pumpkin

3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar

3 large eggs

1 cup half-and-half

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Whipped cream, for serving or your favorite vanilla ice cream.

The best way to cook it is to bake it when using fresh pumpkin. You cut the Pumpkin into quarters or halves depending on the size and scoop out the seeds. Fill the roasting pan with half a cup of water and add the pumpkin pieces. Bake or roast at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.(for pumpkin of medium size) be certain its really tender. Once it's cool enough to handle, extract the pulp with a spoon and put it in a blender or food processor to make sure all the stringy bits are gone. This will give you 2 cups of puree, season, and use it to make your favorite dishes.

Closer to Jesus Christ - Remaining focused.

Closer to Jesus Christ - Remaining focused.

Whether you are from Russia, China, India, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Canada, Alaska, Mexico, Brazil, or the USA, Gods Love is available to you and he cares very much about a relationship with you. He came to Earth to set you free from sin and he does love all his creation. So reach out to him today and build that bridge. In John chapter 15  Jesus says "if you draw close to me, I will draw close to you." In order for us to do that we must be willing to reach out and take the first step. My next blog is about abiding closer to Christ Jesus. Many of us find it hard to remain in a close relationship with the Lord. When you think about it, shouldn't that be the most precious relationship of all? We need to clear our minds and make a decision because you know you need Him. CLICK HERE TO READ BLOG.

Pasco County Officer Corporal Anne Phillips Honored.

Pasco County Corporal Anne Phillips Respected

This dialogue is designed to Commemorate  someone in lieu of their staunch and measured work over the years. Often times we have a tendency to Observe a person after they do something significant. Nevertheless now and again we want to stop and take sight of makeup, reliability, service, feedback and the loyalty one display’s day in and day out. Giving honor for first-class moral fiber should be an ongoing activity after all. It helps stir motivation along with development and we can by no means have too much of it.

Romans 13:7

“Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to who customs, fear to whom fear, honor to who honor.”

Corporal Anne Phillips Honored.

So how do you cherish, appreciate or recognize someone who has earned high opinion? Just in recent times, I had the opportunity to have a word with a good friend, who happens to be a Female Corrections officer and a Corporal working at the Land o’ Lakes Correctional center in Pasco County Florida. Corporal Anne Phillips has worked in Detention for almost 15 years and spent much of that time working in booking. She was promoted to Corporal in 2008.

Mark 10:45

”For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Pasco County Anne Phillips Humble Leader.

Anne never mentions her accomplishments no matter if service from work, on the home front  or through her House of worship. She has in addition served on the Sheriff’s Honor Guard for quite a few years. You wouldn’t believe someone can keep such a optimistic view|approach|outlook|manner} working in a county jail surroundings, but she is one in a million. Anne’s impetus comes from her husband and 2  children. She has deep honor and esteem for God and all He says.

Colossians 3:23-24

23 Whatever you do, labor heartily, as for   The King of Kings and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Pasco County Anne Phillips Esteemed.

Here are several of the things people who labor with Anne declare concerning her:  ”She is not scared to get her hands muddy and work in the trenches.”  ”She has a fine heart.” “What you see is what you get.” “Continually helping.” “Great Corporal." “Loving mother.” “Always put’s folks first.” “At all times stands for what’s right” “She rotates us fairly and evenly on the schedule and when you ask for help, she is there at any time she can be. She tries to hold a positive attitude so we can have a good work situation to work in,” Sergeant Hand says in relation to Anne, “She’s Forever trying to satisfy people.”

I have been told “The greatest leaders, are the greatest servants.” A big “Thank you” Corporal Anne Phillips for being a decisive worker.
